General Freight covers the everyday courier job: parcels, cartons, and small freight items, from around 1 kg upward, moved from pickup to delivery on the regular network rather than on a dedicated vehicle.
This suits documents, small cartons, and individual items that don't need their own truck or forklift handling at either end, the freight most businesses and households actually send day to day.
It doesn't suit palletised freight, container loads, or anything needing forklift handling, which move through Pallet Freight and Container Services instead. It also isn't the right fit for large furniture or awkward, oversized single items, covered separately below.
To book a General Freight job, we need the pickup and delivery addresses, a description of the items, and their approximate weight. Larger or unusual items are worth checking with the depot first.
